My little guy is a bit young for Star Wars yet, but I’m a fan from way back. (Seriously, I remember when the Empire struck back.) I’m excited about the new film, which naturally brings with it plenty of related toys like The Star Wars The Force Awakens 3.75-Inch Vehicle Elite Speeder Bike.
Included in the package:
- the Elite Speeder Bike
- a Special Edition Stormtrooper action figure that bends at the knees, waist, and elbows for better positioning
- an “accessory” (aka a gun/blaster/”shooter thing,” as my son calls it)
This figure sparks the imagination of kids as they entertain images of a galaxy far, far away. This particular vehicle wasn’t made for the characters who were inexperienced. This Speeder Bike takes a trained Stormtrooper hand to be able to use it.
It’s built for speed and for handling missions that other vehicles can’t quite take on. If you want to be the baddest of the bad in the galaxy, you have to have the characters and the vehicles to back that reputation up and that’s what this toy does.
It practically owns the galaxy as it zips off on one adventure or another. It can only be handled by a character who understands the potential power it has. After going through an upgrade, the Speeder Bike now boasts better, faster engines that make pursuing an enemy a walk in the park.
At the same time, these engines can allow the Stormtrooper to speed away from other characters who want to try and stop him from completing his mission. The bike is pretty tough and can easily take on the kind of tough play that kids dish out.
The plastic construction of the toy is top quality and made to last for many years of play. It’s not completely unbendable, though, because the pedals and handles on the bike do have some give in them. This give is what lets the Stormtrooper be able to fit onto the bike easily. You can adjust the handles and pedals if you have to when you’re putting the Stormtrooper in place. Kids can fit him onto the seat and work his fingers around the bike’s controls.
The Stormtrooper figure has a lot of detail and is able to bend at the elbows, waist, and knees. This allows the Stormtrooper to be able to ride low on the bike if he needs to. The bike also has plenty of detail on the molded pieces such as a working hood so that kids can see the engine of the bike. It’s a great gift for kids 4 years old and up (some parts might be too small for younger kids).
